Data type conversion failure does not fail the DFS component

I really like your tool and it solves my issues with missing columns. But it does not seem to handle data type conversions as errors. I have a column that has a data type of DT_DBDATE. I have set this colum to "Fail Component" on Error. When I pass the wrong value of "2010)02-15" (this is basically an error in the source file that we cannot seem to trace the root cause), the DFS component does not fail. It will identify the error when I output it using the Auditing options. But I thought that since I set it to Fail Component, the entire pipeline should stop with an error.

Thanks.

I am having a similar problem.  I have a column that is too long and is therefore getting truncated.  Even though I've set everything I can find to "Fail Component", the component just ignores the error, ignores the row, and succeeds.  I also found that if you redirect failed rows, it only works if you tick "Include error output audit columns" - otherwise it continues to just ignore the row.
